Ripple Effect
Whenever I visit any barbers shop for a shave, it’s quite phenomenal for the shop to boom with loud music, the genre usually hip hop, party jamz, rock, blues and the likes. I may not necessarily be flowing with the rhythm, but after the shave and on my way home, i keep hearing the sounds reverberating in my cerebrum and it goes on and on, not necessarily with my conscientious approval.
Another thing i noticed is that whenever i watched certain movies such as the life of saints, the passion of Christ (by Mel Gibson) etc, i normally feel challenged throughout that week and I’m motivated into doing all forms and manner of good deeds.
What is my point? Everything we come across in our daily lives leave their imprint on our personalities. Why do you think immorality is overwhelmingly exploding in our society? Take a close look at the media broadcast and see if there’s no atom of negativity accompanying it. Nude pictures at your disposal on the web, sex videos at every corner of our streets and film stores, even in schools some of these negativity are being indirectly taught to our children. With all these things happening around us left and right, they keep on reverberating in our brains like the ‘now playing’ button in our music players. On the long run, these things eventually creep into and dominate our thoughts and before we know it, our very lives begin to conform to this decadence thus justifying the ‘thought shaping a man’ theory.
How can we then alleviate the enormous rate of this morality drain? We all know that charity begins at home, thus it’s best to start from there. What genre of movies is dominating your shelves? What kind of books champion your library? What sites do you normally browse? What are the kinds of places you enjoy paying homage? You celebrate and organize parties, what ‘colour’ do they normally wear? Mike Murdock once said; “you can never reach your potentials unless your priorities become habitual.” it obviously implies that your habits (what you normally frequent) defines you. Meaning if you’re fond of reading sex magazines, you would eventually become a pervert. If you’re fond of watching violent movies, you would hardly walk away from a fight etc.
Let’s all strive together with like minds in painting white, the black patches of our society. God bless Nigeria!

I couldn’t agree with u more especially with Mike Murdock
Yeah, that’s el facto, you’re always good at what you do at frequent
Thanks be to God
